Other's - People who I know and have asked them about Spiritual Thoughts

Eileen Cooper Keefer (87 years old)

I have known Eileen my whole life, more like she has known me my whole life. Eileen was one of my few neighbors growing up. I asked Eileen  What do you think of when you hear of a Spiritual Thought? Her response was "Jesus is on my mind,  almost every day all day long. My kids are always at each other and I pray, pray, pray for them". Then she porcedes to tell me about a friend who brought her a poinsetta (pictured), her friend found out he has cancer and she didn't know what to say to him or do.  I suggested sharing a spiritual or uplifting message to him. Send a card - She was going to look through her cards and send one to him in hopes that he will feel her love from all the past kind things he has done for her.  How can you not feel the Saviors Love from all the the kind things others have done for  you?  Even the simplest note that someone may send. You can be spiritually uplifed and feel loved through something so simple. Who can you share a thought or message to today?

Another question I asked her was What spiritual thought do you remember or have enjoyed though out your life. Her response was  "I miss going to church (Lutheran),  I listen to messages on TV, Catholic messages, the Morman Tabernacle choir has some special songs from when I grew up that I remember, they sing before a man shares a message." She couldn't recall what it was called, but I knew exactly what she was talking about ...the Spoken Word I said. With a smile she replied "Yes that was it". To think that those who can not attend church for whatever circumstances they might be in, they can hear a spiritual thought or message from something like the "Music & the Spoken Word".  Another great TV program that comes to mind is General Conference that airs twice a year in April & October. What spiritual message stands out and touched your heart that you can remember from watching Music and the Spoken word or General Conference?

Music & the Spoken Word has been around for a century.
