SPIRITUAL THOUGHTS from my perspective

 

Who doesn't love a SPIRITUAL THOUGHT? 

According to AI -Spiritual thoughts are reflections on deeper meaning, purpose, and connection, moving beyond the material to concepts like love, God, nature or inner peace, often involving self-improvement, altruism, and seeking divine guidance or universal truth. They are characterized by peace, hope, and wisdom, contrasting with fear-driven "carnal" thoughts, and can arise from prayer, meditation, or quiet contemplation

Through out my life I have always loved small and simple spiritual thoughts or messages given in so many ways. Not all are spiritual, but  they uplift me when I'm down, they bring me peace when I need it, they help me through hard days and they just make me feel loved by my Heavenly Father and my Savior. The Joy that can be found in a spiritual thought or message. When I hear or read a spiritual thought, what makes me connect with God and feel HIs love? What do I want to learn from or take away from a spiritual thought? These are the few questions I ponder on. 

This morning as I was reading Elder Root's missionary email and other missionaries that I know.  I experenced a greater Joy of the Love that I have for my Savior Jesus Christ. All missionaries serving through out the world carry a spirit of burning fire that lights up the narrow path back to our Heavenly Father.  Can we learn about the gospel principles through spiritual thoughts others share? Yes, yes I beleve we can. Enduring life's journeys and embracing the gospel every day seeking for His light can be shared through the spiritual thoughts of others.  About a year ago I strarted keeping a journal about Missionary spiritual thoughts, messages that others have shared with me & Quotes from Prophets & Apostles and experiences that I felt help me become closer to my Savior Jesus Christ, and so the thought came "These messages should be compiled and shared with others". So it begins! My hope is that you will & can find strength in your daily life to press forward in seeking for the light that our Heavenly Father has for all of us. That light is our Savior Jesus Christ, He is the Light of the World and He sends messagers like Missionaries, Friends, Family members, Neighbors, some times Stangers, but especially Prophets, Apostles to share His Love with us. LISTEN, LEARN AND APPLY the Spiritual  thought you hear. 

Spiritual Thoughts are shared in so many different ways, these are the ones that come to mind:

  • Missionaries - are always share a Spiritual Thought
  • Misinstering - 
  • Fast & Testimony Sacrament Meeting - First Sunday of the Month anyone who's heart desires can go up and share what is on their heart & mind. These are individuals spiritual thoughts that help their testimonies grow, but can streaghten others as they share.
  •  Leadership meetings - Ward Council, Quarm and class presidency meetings
  • Temple - 
  • Holidays - (Easter & Christmas)
  • Devotionals
  • Others - Through notes, cards
  •  




Questions that come to mind to ask others:

  • What Spiritual Thought have I shared that has touched some one?

  Eileen Cooper Keefer (87 years old) I have known Eileen my whole life, more like she has known me my whole life. Eileen was one of my few neighbors growing up. I asked Eileen  What do you think of when you hear of a Spiritual Thought? Her response was "Jesus is on my mind,  almost every day all day long. Testimony

For my spiritual thought I want to share more about my experience from the helping others activity. My helping others activity was in person and solo español. Which to me seemed a little overwhelming but I feel like I did a good job. It wasn't because my Spanish was good, because that is far from the truth. It is because I taught with conviction. I know with everything I believe and more that what I said about our lesson is true. The women we taught saw and heared it. She said I had a fuerte testimony. She is right. I have a super strong testimony and people can see it. So where ever or whenever you might share what you believe. Say it with passion and love and conviction. Conviction allows the spirit to be the teacher. When you are sure in where you stand the spirit enlightens it. I know what I know to be true. I see the impact of the gospel on mine and so many other lives. It is so important to me. I know this gospel is true in the name of Jesus Christ Amen. - Elder Carson Corder...
